No longer on Amazon
On the 26th February 2025 Amazon removed Download and Transfer. This means only delivery by WiFi direct to a Kindle or Kindle App. Amazon always put DRM on KFX, ignoring publisher request for DRM free. All Kindle Apps, Fire and eink Kindles after the Paperwhite 1 get KFX rather than azw3/KF8, which was DRM free, if a Publisher requested it.
EDIT:
July 2025: All titles are back on Amazon, everywhere but by publisher ISBN. Previous KDP ASIN links are not valid.
May 2026: Amazon has ended all downloads for all Kindles that don’t support KFX, which is always encrypted and has formatting errors. That’s the original Paperwhite and all older Kindles as well as some very old Fire Tablets. They can still be used for USB loaded DRM free & PD content (like Project Gutenberg). The K3 (Kindle Keyboard) and later do the fine azw3/KF8 format. The K1, K2 and all DX / DXG only do inferior pre-Kindle mobi format for reflowable ebooks. You can use Calibre to convert epub to azw3. You can’t use Send to Kindle. Never de-register a Kindle.
